01 Arrival to San Jose/Finca Rosa Blanca
A private transfer from Best of Costa Rica will greet you at the airport and drive you to Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn, a first-class boutique hotel located 30 minutes away from San Jose. Finca Rosa Blanca offers breathtaking views of the Central Valley volcanoes, cloud forests, and coffee plantations.

02 Poas Volcano and La Paz waterfalls/Finca Rosa Blanca
Our bilingual guide will pick you up in the early morning at Finca Rosa Blanca for a private tour of the spectacular Poas Volcano National Park. At an elevation of over 8000 ft., Poas Volcano will reward you with magnificent sights and gorgeous hiking offerings. The bottom of its mile-wide, 900 ft. deep main crater is lined with a stunning aquamarine sulfurous lake and steam geysers. Following Poas, the driver/guide will take you to La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a magical nature park where the Rain Forest and Cloud Forest coexist. Professionally designed trails and platforms provide access to four breathtaking waterfalls. The Park also features Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardens, frog pond, serpentarium and old Costa Rican Hacienda among other attractions. Following your eco-adventure, your driver/guide will return you to Finca Rosa Blanca by late afternoon.

03 Finca Rosa Blanca
*Suggested activities: Barva Volcano and/or Parque Braulio Carrillo. Barva Volcano offers excellent hiking through the cloud forest to the Crater Lake where resplendent quetzals have been sighted. A 6-mile hike, some of it uphill includes guide rain gear as transportation to and from the park

Day 04 Rafting/Rios Tropicales Lodge
A representative from Rios Tropicales will pick you up very early in the morning at Finca Rosa Blanca heading towards the Caribbean and crossing the amazing Braulio Carrillo National Park. You will enjoy a delicious breakfast at their operation center. Then when ready, your friendly guides will take you throught the rapids of the Pacuare river. Before you know it, you`ll arrive at the Ríos Tropicales Lodge where you can either relax, go hiking or soaking at the waterfall and pools. Also, there is an optional Canopy tour available at the private reserve.

Day 05 Rios Tropicales Lodge
This day is designed to enjoy the lodge surroundings. You can choose a variety of hikes or just relax in a hammock and enjoy nature.

06 Private transfer to Arenal Volcano
After a breakfast, you'll prepare to paddle down the Pacuare gorge past gushing waterfalls, serene pools and pounding rapids. Hot lunch will be served at Ríos Tropicales Operations Center. On the return drive to San Jose you'll enjoy remarkable views of Braulio Carrillo National Park and Irazu Volcano. Once in San Jose a transfer f rom Best of Costa Rica will drive you from San Jose to Arenal Volcano, it is a 2-3 hour drive going through rolling hills and picturesque small towns. Arenal Volcano rewards its visitors with spectacular red-hot lava displays and earth-rattling thunder. Nestled in a lush valley on the northern side of Arenal Volcano, you can find a broad selection of lodging options, among them: Tabacon Resort, Arenal Kioro, Lost Iguana, Volcano Lodge, Arenal Volcano among others.

07 Arenal Volcano/Rainforest

Or simply kick back and enjoy a volcanic mud facial or a full-body massage at Tabacon's own Grand Spa.

08 Departure from San Jose
A transfer from Best of Costa Rica will drive you to the Juan Santamaria International Airport for your return flight.
